is it good time to learn blazor.net

blazor

Question

There is a lot of buzz surrounding experimental project from Microsoft called "Blazor". People are telling that it is a Javascript killer. Is it a good time to learn it? since it is in beta stage, we do not know when it will released.

Accepted Answer

Blazor is not JavaScript killer but nice addition to it as they live side by side. With Blazor Microsoft enables developers to write single page applications using C#. To kill this "killer" myth completely I would like to add that Blazor already supports two-way interop with JavaScript.

Is it time to learn Blazor? For majority of developers no, I think. For those like me who just must play with bleeding edge and coming-soon stuff it is good time to jump in.

I have played actively with Blazor since version 0.3.0. I try different scenarios and use-cases to see how things work and to achieve better understanding where Blazor fits in big picture. My on-going public experiment I call BlazorDemo is simple Blazor application that is built to run on Azure and use different Azure services.
